To remove it, you need to go to this Settings page instead: Settings > Accounts > Access work or school, then select the work email and you will have the disconnect option. Then restart the computer after that. Make sure it is"Access work or school" page.

Check Settings > Accounts > Access work or school and see if there is an email account that is added there. Remove the account other than Work or School Account. The client had signed into the native W10 Mail app and the everything was trying to pull incorrect credentials/another email address instead of the work/school address.

In reply to Samson Fernendez's post on March 1, 2023. Hi! I actually found this fix myself. When you're in Settings > Accounts, scroll down to Access work or school and you'll see the work/school account listed there. You'll be able to remove it from that settings panel, vs Email & accounts.
