Luckily, using Office Deployment Tool (ODT), it is easy to configure the installation by removing unwanted Office applications. This is how it's done, easy and takes only a few minutes. First, in case you don't already have this information from your employer's Office admin, you need to check the Office edition (SKU) which is based on type of your O365 license, its bit version and update channel.

Same antivirus (bitdefender), same firewall, same network, brand new PC - no preexisting Office, no proxy, running in an elevated command prompt as always. One day it will work, next day it won't. When I finally get Office 2019 to download, I'm saving the files to a flash drive. I've got 10 PC's coming in soon, I don't have time for this nonsense.

The tool is an Azure-based cloud service which allows you to create XML configuration files that are used with the Office Deployment Tool. In the past, you needed to create the configuration files in Notepad or another text editor. The Office Customization Tool makes this part of the deployment process easier and less likely to introduce errors.

One more check, I will use Office License Management Tool (see this post) to check O365 license status. It shows my Office installation is licenced, and that the installed Office edition is Office Home Premium: (Click to enlarge.) I repeated the test on one virtual and two physical computers.

Try removing that space and run the command again. The corrected command should look like this:"C:\Office Temp\Setup.exe" /download"C:\Office Temp\configuration.xml" By removing the space, the command should be able to locate and use the configuration file properly. Give it a try I’m glad I could help. Please leave positive feedback.
