Can't enter CAS at all after new update! - EA Answers HQ

Hero. @Mack232323 Moving the Electronic Arts folder shouldn't be a problem. The game will create a new one, with a new Sims 4 folder inside, if it's able to launch at all. Try running the takeown command on your Documents folder. First, run a Windows search for"Command Prompt," open it, and enter this command:

My Sims 4 Laggy and Slow - EA Answers HQ
Things I have tried doing to fix the problem: Restarting PC. Uninstalling and reinstalling game w/out any previous save/mod data. Removed mods, saved games, cache, and tray files. Changed to Low Settings (Which I refuse to play on with my hardware) have the same stuttery gameplay, so graphics are not an issue.

If Sims 4 works in the new account, it means the problem is contained to your old account. You can simply continue playing in the new account if you want. For any saves or other user data you'd like to transfer to the new account, sign into the old account again and copy the relevant files to C:\Users\Public.
