For 4 cups of milk, you need a tablespoon of sour cream and a teaspoon of sugar. Heat the milk to 40 degrees. Prepare a glass jar of suitable volume with a lid. Prepare the kefir for fermentation. Mix warm milk, sugar and sour cream in a glass jar. Wait until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Put all ingredients in a bowl, an mix well. It should make quite a soft dough. Pick up the dough, and pass it from one hand to the other making a brick shape. Put in a 2lb loaf tin, cover with cling film / plastic bag, and leave for up to 4 hours to double in size. Heat oven to 200 C, gas mark 6.

But in lada you insulin production is failing albeit slowly, so metformin may help short term but longer term insulin will be required. Being luddite is ok. However, Libre CGM does not require much attention. You attach a new sensor every 14 days. Once you have a Libre on prescription, just contact Libre (UK telephone number is on the box) and ask for a Libre reader. You then will have a choice of using either a Libre reader, or a Libre app on a smart phone.
