Faster Payments - Wikipedia Yes, that's the point - Faster Payments is a two-tier system under which transfers between direct participants should complete within two hours (but usually instantaneous) whereas all others must be by the end of the next working day.

Sending certified copies through the post were not acceptable. I recently opened 2 other savings accounts by post with other providers - one just checked the electoral roll and that was fine, the other only asked for 2 ID documents (one photo id, one to prove my address) and they were happy with a verified copy of my passport via post.

Chase has cut the rates on its linked savings accounts by 0.25 percentage points. As of Thursday 14 November, its easy-access 'boosted saver' now pays 4.5%, while its standard saver pays just 3.5%. The changes mean you can earn more on your savings elsewhere – though Chase is still worth keeping for its debit card perks.

Yorkshire building society. I had about £5000 in savings in Yorkshire building society. After I was furloughed I started to withdraw or transfer from the account for bills etc due to a significant salary reduction. I asked for a withdrawal yesterday of £1000 and was told it would be in today. It hadn't arrived by 4.30 so I called them.

5 November 2023 at 1:53PM. Yorkshire Building Society are currently offering existing customers an account which pays 7%P.A on savings of up to £6000 per annum. You can deposit anything from £1-£500 per month. So by my calculations £500 per month saved with earn a total of £229.33!
