The boat didn't give me any warnings about progressing forward, the elevator did. Also, I don't get why going to mountain pass is considered a cutoff point instead of exiting it to the Shadowlands since Underdark is basically an equivalent of Mountain Pass in terms of progression.

There are three lines for surface ships: carriers in the back, capital ships (battleships, battlecruisers, and heavy cruisers) in the middle, and screens (light cruisers and destroyers) in the front.
