For both accuracy and avoiding the need to cancel, don't use Checkmyfile. Use the three direct free services instead. Clearscore, MSE Credit Club, Credit Karna.

The problem is if you want your Experian report you have to pay them now at £14.99 a month so you are as well to pay £14.99 every time you want to check your full score with Checkmyfile. Or just ask for your statutory report which they have to give you free but might take a week or so

Yes as checkmyfile is a waste of money as usually inaccurate, out of date, useless if you complain and doesnt even show any credit account from experian.

I have used checkmyfile and found them to be inadequate as they do not report all the data. For example on my Equifax I had no linked addresses with checkmyfile but I decided to go direct to Equifax and there is a linked address with a default registered against it where I have NEVER lived, therefore this was stopping me getting any credit.

Experian only provides publically available information to the checkmyfile service - which is the information that should be identitical on all three agencies anyway. If you want your full Experian credit report, you should go to Experian directly. There is a warning on the checkmyfile site, but from what you say you were misadvised over the phone.
