BTW, something to look out for (and possibly it’s next week), is the 300th puzzle by the current Everyman. Some may recall that the 100th and 200th puzzles were marked in some way in the grid. The 200th was number 3,972 and next week is 4,072, so…. GO TO ONLINE PUZZLES!

Next >. rogissimo. 8th September 2024, 00:28. Definitely at the easy end of the Everyman spectrum, I’d say - indeed close to being a write-in. But plenty of pleasure to be had along the way. One bit of modernish GK which I guessed correctly from the crossers and the fodder. FOI 4 LOI 14.

The definition seems not quite right in 5d. I agree with mattorm about 99, but it does turn up quite often in crosswords. I'll forgive a lot for 11d, though! 9 of 55 - Report This Post. jono. 22nd September 2024, 09:15. 26 is a word for raises with a single letter replacement. 21 read the answer as 1,2,1.

Funny, I went out last Saturday and skipped the Everyman. Just clicked on last week's inadvertently, before the current one was posted, and 4066 is brilliant, though a bit difficult. This one (4067) is solid but not up to the level of 4066. 7 of 43 - Report This Post. brendan.

I had to set this aside for a while. Considered leaving it DNF, but relented and managed to fill in the last handful of solutions.

rogissimo. 28th July 2024, 00:34. This felt like another Everyman of old - a breeze indeed, but with some good entertainment along the way. FOI 1, LOI 11, which needed all the crossers before the penny dropped. COD - well, I particularly liked 17d. 1 of 31 - Report This Post. geeker.
