NameCheap now prohibiting registration of certain words in domains
Namecheap's registration terms and conditions appear to be far stricter than that of many other registrars - on a related note, Namecheap, despite being ICANN accredited for many gTLDs, often still processes many registrations, including .com, .net, etc through their eNom reseller account - not sure why, but it surprised me to see that.

Namecheap Autorenewal and cancellation, Names go to redemption
The"expiration" grace/redemption periods allow recovery of the domain at that registrar, with fees that can be increasingly higher. For example, at Namecheap, there appears to be a slight bulk discount (for some customers at least) prior to the expiration date, but a higher price during the grace period.
