Relationship to Diabetes. Type 2. Pronouns. He/Him. Sep 13, 2024. #1. IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED BY MY DIABETIC NURSE TO USE WEEKLY OZEMPIC INJECTIONS TO HELP CONTROL MY TYPE 2 DIABETES AND TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT AT THE SAME TIME. HOWEVER, THERE HAVE BEEN SOME ADVERSE REPORTS OF BAD SIDE EFFECTS IN THE NATIONAL PRESS, INCLUDING POSSIBLE BLINDNESS.

Relationship to Diabetes. Type 2. Oct 17, 2024. #1. Started on Ozempic1.0 6 weeks ago. Average fasting BS was around 14 before then. I had tried Metformin which I just could not stomach. This week average fasting BS is 11 and this morning's reading is 9.2. I have lost about 10 pounds too.

Ozempic had been mentioned before and I’d said no but decided to give it a go. I’ve now taken 0.25 for four weeks and then 0.5 for 7 weeks. I’ve been taking insulin consistently and testing blood sugars regularly, and my blood sugars have started coming down in the last 6 weeks, dropping gradually through that time.

Well-Known Member. Relationship to Diabetes. Type 1. Jul 18, 2020. #3. Hi @Charlongo, welcome to the forum 🙂. Headaches are a common side effect of Ozempic, but like all side effects of drugs they should pass. Think of it like alcohol or nicotine- early encounters often result in vomiting, but those effects soon pass.

0.25 for 4 weeks and had mild indigestion for the first couple of days each week. Took omeprazole which sorted it. First injection of 1 and I feel dreadful. Injected at 7am Friday and felt ok. Saturday am felt a bit washed out by 6pm had dreadful cramps. Was awake most of the night with abdominal cramps and diarrhoea.

Hi I’m Maddy. Please take care with Ozempic….. I took Ozempic for high blood Sugars but after two years had to stop it. I lost my appetite and was feeling very weak. It’s very hard to eat a balanced diet when you don’t want anything. Good luck with the weight loss. Everyone’s different I know. I’m having eating problems still now.

Despite being on the weight loss surgery path via NHS, I've been unable to get initiated on GLP-1RA medication like Ozempic through my GP, even though I have Type 2 diabetes. However, I'm still interested in using GLP-1RA medication to help with weight loss.

Relationship to Diabetes. Type 2. Feb 20, 2020. #7. I started ozempic a couple of weeks ago, so still on the 0.25 dose. However, the side effects of sulphur belching, flatulence and constant diarrhoea are severe. Do these alleviate over time, or is there any point in continuing with it.
