I've read lately in a grammarbook that the preposition IN is used with personal transport means, and ON - with public transport, e.g. I'm IN the car now / ON the bus. If this rule is correct (is it?), what about coaches? Is it an exception (I'm IN the coach now) or not (I'm ON the coach)?
I think the public transport are well developed here because there are many bus stops around almost every estate. Take my estate as an example, I can get to 3 different bus stops within 10-minute walking distance, and it only takes me 30 minutes to get to the downtown.
