It essentially have Steam download the workshop content, then: The game moves it into its respective folders. In-app downloading can be done using the Steamworks SDK and can bypass the workshop folder completely (because we wouldn’t want the same thing to be saved and downloaded twice).
Go to the Steam page of the workshop map you want Copy the URL and paste it into https://steamworkshopdownloader.io/ Hit the green download button. A zip archive should begin downloading If you've set up Leth's map loader, open the Custom Map folder you created earlier and create a new folder INSIDE that with the name of the workshop map.
I want to download some mods for a game but can't use the workshop since I have the game from gog.com (yes I know, not really piracy but r/Steam put my post on hold and I'm really hoping y'all can help, just pretend it's pirated game for a moment) and so far all of the sites/programs I've found have stopped working or use SteamCMD which doesn't support the game.
Tutorial. I just figured it out! Download file from Steam workshop (.blv, .bsg and etc...) Search %appdata% in search bar. Go to locallow/Spiderlinggames/. go to the appropriate file (e.g. CustomLevel) and drop the files. Enjoy! Add a Comment. Sort by:
The first one you linked still works, you just have to use SteamCMD to download it which is easy to install, they just won't upload the files to their server so that they can stay legitimate in Steam's eyes. steam cmd doesnt work for anon protected mods. Second link gives outdated mods.
Open Game on GFN, steam will say"Game is not accessible in family view" and leave you at the steam launcher. Click on the button to leave family view, enter your PIN, Game should be visible on steam library now. Go to settings, change download location to somewhere else. Steam will restart. Unsubscribe and subscribe to some mod in Game workshop.
Unpack mod file (s)/folder (s) to appropriate location (see instructions below). Restart the game, so that it can load new items. Navigate to Content Manager from the game’s main menu and enable desired items. For Cities: Skylines mods and assets can be stored in user data, game installation directory and Steam Workshop downloads directory.
Or switch to desktop environment. You can find workshop in big picture at game > game info tab> under that little more tabs like store and such and the end of those is workshop. If anybody is wondering how, Go to community and scroll all the way to the side.
correct. that's it. you just paste the url, get the message that there is"free space left" and watch as nothing happens. and then click on every available pixel, mocked by the message claiming that you've succeeded when in reality nothing has happened, no automatic download, no download link, no download request, nothing.
