Specifically the AI stuff is usually an online service rather than an app you can download, which makes in way harder to pirate because you never really have the tech in the first place. They don't do a good job of showing it publicly. If the free content is not good, and the price is a subscription, it's definitely not worth it, imo. When I bought Voicemod, I got a one-time payment offer for $30, for a lifetime license. That feels very worth it all things considered. But for what I use it for, I never know when it might come up.

Voicemod seriously messed up my audio drivers; how to fix?
What I did was firing up Everything and looking for any remaining Voicemod files as stuff usually stays on a computer even after uninstalling. And I did found a few files in %Appdata% and in /Windows/Prefetch. After deleting them, I went in device manager (Devmgmt.msc) and removed every sound drivers related to Voicemod.

Or at the very least get voicemod working under a WINE runner, I can't get past the install section about adding a desktop shortcut regardless of which runner I use. I know you guys said on X/Twitter 3 years ago a linux version was in the works, I'd imagine people be willing to test it by now, especially with what Microsoft is pulling on Windows 11 right now.
