Police can apply for an intervention order if they believe family violence has occurred. They can do this even if family members do not ask for it. Conditions in an intervention order are rules that the respondent must follow. Breaching an intervention order is serious and could result in a criminal record.

Divorce is the official ending of marriage. You must satisfy the court that: there is no chance of reconciling your marriage. Annulment happens when a judge decides that there was no legal marriage. Getting a divorce or having a marriage annulled does not sort out issues relating to children or property. These arrangements must be made separately.

The date the divorce order becomes final is the actual date of divorce. You cannot get remarried until the final order is made. In exceptional cases the court can order a shorter waiting period between the two steps. A copy of the divorce order is sent to you by post. You should keep it in a safe place as it is your proof of divorce.
