Homeserve Plumbing and Drainage. I've been using Homeserve for their plumbing and drainage plus cover. It started off reasonably but seems to have escalated rapidly over the last few years. It's currently £162 and will renew to £192 at the end of this month.
HomeServe - returning customer beware! arcade321 Posts: 3 Newbie. 16 January 2016 at 4:29PM. I've cancelled my HomeServe cover as they've hiked the price after the first year. No surprise there as it was an introductory offer, but I subsequently asked them a week later if I return at a later date (say after a year with another company), will I ...
24 September 2010 at 12:54PM. I have buildings & contents with Direct Line the plus policy, which as standard gives £500 limit to a emergency cover. I have had and now reviewed Homeserve emergency cover. The key thing is that homeserve cover the"water supply pipe" where DL do not provide cover. Homeserve will cover plumbing, drains, electrics ...

A pressure relief valve went on my boiler in Feb: (, Homeserve contracter was there with in 3 hours:), diagnosed the problem:), didn't have the part, difficult to get hold of etc etc, and disappeared for 5 days  with Homeserve telling me a boiler breakdown is not an emergency ...
Hi. I would really appreciate some help as I find it confusing to say the least! My British Gas Home Care 400 (Boiler,Plumbing,Electricity and Boiler Service) renewal is about £260 with£50 excess. I looked online and found a similar service by HomeServe (HomeServce cover 8 with additional Pest,Security cover) comes to only £116 with £50 excess!
Homeserve are working a numbers game scam, and the conclusion is: 1) Homeserve are falsely advertising their services, stating that they will pay for all parts (see above), when they simply do NOT. 2) Homeserve, if it is not in their financial interest will not even contact you, leaving you in a dire situation without any communication.

2. Homeserve £216 for the year for the most comprehensive cover. [ homeserve . com ] Non-emergencies are not covered. You dont seem to get as much for your money but they seem to have a good reputation (Trustpilot again) The problem with these insurances is there are so many limitations, i dont know if its worth it.
As an easy comparison Aviva/Quotemehappy use homeserve for their home emergency cover. Main things it doesnt cover is the water pipe between meter and internal stopcock, taps and boiler service. I took out the home emergency cover with quotemehappy then took our a separate policy direct with homeserve for the water pipe and boiler service.
