Great. More bullshit hoops to jump through. They are worth it if the job ad mandates you take it but does the assessment really show if a candidate is competent or not is a different question and IMO it's entirely arbitrary and should be taken with a measure of skeptics. In my experience, yes absolutely.

This was the first time I applied to a job on Indeed, and I had no clue that they send you notifications when the employer views your app. The job was announced as open on 8/2. I applied yesterday (8/11) around 5 pm, and the job apps don't close until 8/24.

Assessments are supposed to be on the bottom of the Indeed Profile (resume) page, but they were not there. Here's the fix - If the resume on your profile is a PDF doc (or other uploaded resume), convert it to an Indeed resume. Once you do this, the assessments section will appear on the bottom of your profile page.

Indeed is just a glorified parasite of a website and most of the jobs you find on there are false doors. Indeed works by scraping hundreds or thousands of other websites for real job postings, and recreates the information as a new job in its own format. An overwhelming majority of jobs posted here are clones. Applying to these cloned jobs does ...

In the top right Click on your Profile. Then underneath the resume section click"Indeed Resume" > . Click on the three verticle dots in the top right corner a list of tabs will open allowing you to select"Share a Link to my Indeed Resume". Im trying to do this right now and I see no way to create a url they links to my indeed profile.

Yes. I got my last 3 jobs on Indeed. 200 applications is my average per job landed. I got a bunch of jobs on indeed I got like over 20 jobs in last two years but the current job I’m at, I got that job from going into indeed, clicking the company link they provided there and boom got the job. Indeed doesn't work.

Exactly this. Not sure by swear by, but you should consider all outlets for jobs including Indeed, LinkedIn, Handshake, Glassdoor, etc. Also, depending on how desperate you are, Craigslist isn’t necessarily a terrible place to look for a job despite how sketchy it is. I got my first job through Craigslist; you can ask how that went if you want.

I live in a super small town and I applied for a nearby cashier job on indeed, and it said that 3,000 PEOPLE have applied for the exact same job. So that basically means there’s no chance of me getting that job. It’s really suspicious, I wonder how many of those applicants are either bots or duplicate applications sent by the same person.

Yes. Indeed will say they won't but for whatever reason I was on indeed and my employer found out cause it tells them when you were active. 8. Reply. Share. throwaway23557718. • 10 mo. ago. I had the same experience a few weeks back. I was updating my resume to add new skills….

Beware of Realistic Indeed Scams. Job searching. I almost fell for a scam today. Last week I applied for a remote job via a post on indeed. The employer listed was a real company that I researched before applying. I received a text yesterday saying they would like to proceed with an online interview to further screen applicants.
